Internationally recognised muscle release technique
The Emmett Technique is a gentle, safe and simple to apply muscle release therapy. The Technique was developed by Australian, Ross Emmett. It is taught in over 35 countries worldwide and is effective on both people and animals.
The Technique may assist with easing pain and discomfort, improving movement of the body and quality of life. It is very relaxing so can aid stress relief and help sleep.
The Emmett Technique is a light touch therapy working to release trauma and tension in the muscles. The sequence of muscle activation points used in the technique can unlock muscle memory, this activation gives the brain the opportunity to set up a new state of homeostasis and provides an opportunity for re-alignment of the body.
Accurate and fast assessments of the body by the therapist can lead to changing the imbalances of the body. Treatments can be done sitting, standing or lying, and either fully or partially clothed. It is suitable for everyone from babies to the elderly.
Symptoms which have been relieved:
- Neck and shoulder restriction
- Lymphatic congestion and breathing
- Migraines or cluster headaches
- Abdominal cramps and bowel discomfort
- Persistent heel and foot pain
- Headaches, dizziness and sinus congestion
- Back and hip discomfort
- Knee and ankle restrictions
- Discomfort during pregnancy
- Fluid retention
The Emmett Technique works well as a standalone therapy or can be successfully integrated with other modalities such as Massage, Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy etc.
